hello erin »

love it keep it. . . friendship bread

This week’s Love It. . Keep It post is dedicated to a little something I received at work 10 days ago. Amish Friendship Bread. Yes folks, you read that right. Amish Friendship Bread. My friend Sarah at work brought me a little package 10 days ago-it was a bag of liquid and a note. I was SO CONFUSED. Trying new things is always fun, and breaking chain letters. . . or in this case chain friendship baking projects can have very unfortunate consequences, so how could I refuse? The directions are simple-mash the bag daily, add a few ingredients here and there, be patient, and on day 10 you get to bake your bread! But not before making 4 extra bags of goo to give away (and one to keep of course, that way you ALWAYS have Amish Friendship Bread!!). It’s been a fun little experiment and we shall see what happens tonight when we bake the bread! Anyone want a bag of goo to bake in 10 days?

Kim - Aaaaahhhh….Friendship Bread. We have participated in this process many times over the years. In all honesty, the bread is actually very good too. What a fun little tradition. Thanks for the reminder.
