I am truly blessed to come form a long line of love. My parents have been together almost 31 years, both my sets of grandparents were together all their lives. It’s hard to find love that lasts these days, but I truly truly feel that I have. Mike and I aren’t perfect-and any couple that tells you they’re perfect is LYING-but we’re perfect for each other. And I’m so lucky to have found the one person I want to spend the rest of my life with and can’t imagine living my life without. He’s the yin to my yang, the dessert to my dinner (I have dessert EVERY night, I’m such a fat kid), and the Troy to my Gabrielle (I’m such a HSM nerd). I love that he washes our clothes while I’m in charge of drying them. He does the vacuuming and I do the dusting. He does the cooking and I do the baking. He supports me in all of my dreams and just wants me to do what I love. We just WORK together.
Sunday I got to see my wedding dress. MY wedding dress. Not the showroom floor dress, my actual dress. And let me tell you-its FAB-U-LOUS! I got to try on the whole package. Shoes, veil, stunning little headband, and my Grandmothers pearls. I will be wearing my Grandmothers pearl necklace on my wedding day, the same pearls she wore on her wedding day June 4th 1954. My grandma died a few years ago, before she did she gave my mother a maroon box with a pearl necklace and a note in it.
Every time you wear them you will be reminded of your husbands love for you.
All my love
It’s only fitting I wear them on my wedding day as well. And hopefully it will give me the same love and luck she found in her husband.
