There’s something amazing about finding the perfect gift, then sitting back and watching the joy on the gift-openers face. I love making people happy! Mike and I exchange gifts far before whichever holiday we’re exchanging for. Last year we exchanged Christmas presents in November. I think our new-found non-holiday gift opening tradition is my fault, i get SO excited about what I’ve bought I cant hold it in. Case and point-shopping with my mom and sister on saturday I got what i thought was going to be a birthday present for Mike-but upon arriving home that day I couldnt contain it and forced him to open it (I’ve never seen anyone so excited about seersucker. I did gooood)-clearly not going to be his birthday present considering his birthday is August 15th! Along with loving to give presents, i love to hand-write thank yous. I truly feel like a hand-written thank you goes such a long way. They’ve turned into a thing of the past-everyone should share my love of stationary and sending notes (postage certainly wouldnt keep going up). It’s so much fun to get stuff in the mail that’s not bills. Michelle found this blog-which i ADORE www.thxthxthx.com. Its the best. Every day Leah writes a thank you-to people to objects, to things–its such a good reminder to be thankful for the little things in life–and that thank yous shouldnt be a thing of the past.
Here’s a sneak peak from my session yesterday. . .
