This New Years (like so many before) we hit Mammoth to celebrate. Now usually the party involves my mother, father, brother, sister, myself, and more recently Mike. We watch the ball drop while drinking champagne (my mother sleeping on the couch), and then at 12:01 we head to bed. This year we changed it up a bit–we had some amazing friends join the party! Christy, Stephanie, Ryan, Jeannine, and Trevor all came to enjoy some delicious snow and ring in the new year. And yes, the snow. . . it was delicious. And there was a LOT of it. Twenty-feet. . . and then it snow another few feet while we were there–it made for some powdery, amazing, cold skiing. New Years Eve we drank snugglers in the hot tub and then headed to a friends condo where there was a six course meal there complete with wine parings. . . I would say that’s exactly what we got, and look all cool–but that would be lying. The food, it was DELICIOUS. They had cheese dip unlike anything we have ever experienced, and then we drank soup out of a cup. But the soup? It was good. Two boys managed to cook for a group of 30 people, and managed to make everything delicious (where were they in college when the commons cooked in bulk and it NEVER tasted delicious?). A classy six course dinner complete with wine parings–maybe not. So we rang in the New Year, and then promptly went to bed so we could all hit the mountain on Saturday. Saturday, we skied, froze, warmed up with some snugglers (hot chocolate, and peppermint schnapps. . we were SUPER snuggly afterwords), hit the jacuzzi, made a delicious dinner, talked wedding (Stephanie AND Jeannine are engaged. And planning amazing, gorgeous weddings!), and played some UNO. I must say, this was one of my FAVORITE mammoth weekends ever!!
All the girls take pilates together. . . so we were trying to show off our SUPER strong muscles.
Engaged. . with gorgeous BLING!
And last but not least. . one very off centered picture of the girls about to go skiing!
