Well, we’re officially back from our anniversary vacation! We had so much fun, it was definitely hard to leave the island. I think one of my absolute favorite days has to be the turtle farm. We picked the perfect day to go there (no pesky cruise ships docked that day) and had the entire park to ourselves. The turtle farm is a breeding and research facility for sea turtles, so they have turtles from 2 weeks old all the way to 65 years old, and you can hold/touch all of ’em. The turtles are so cute and friendly (I definitely have a new favorite sea animal), and I couldn’t get enough of holding them. They also have a predator reef, with sharks and barracudas, and other sorts of evil sea animals- you can swim next to them (they have a glass partition up, so it FEELS like you’re swimming with them), that’s as close to any of those animals i EVER want to get! It was such a fun turtle farm trip, I think Mike’s biggest regret is taking me there so early in the trip, he was then forced to listen to lots and lots of “can we PLEASE go back and steal a turtle?! PLEASE. tucker would love a turtle friend. They live like forever, its the perfect pet to pass down to our kids. . . “. Needless to say, we came home turtle-less.
The babies were my absolute favorite. They’re only 2 weeks old!
This mambo jambo turtle is 65 years old and weighs 550bls. That’s a whole lotta turtle.
Mike made friends with the winged creatures too. . .
