I love having a little sister. One who is 7 years younger, who is still easy to tease, easy to boss around, and even easier to love. Growing up we weren’t close- although i’m not sure why considering my parents would give me a quarter for every diaper i changed (sheer genius on their part), but it might have been because she was always eating my barbie shoes. And then one day she caught up. She just grew up before my eyes, started liking the same things i did (and it wasnt as obnoxious when she “copied” me), and suddenly we were inseparable. Yes she still gets teased, and yes we still force her to sit in the back seat, but somewhere along the line she transformed from my little little sister into my friend.
A few weeks ago Nicole from college. YES FROM COLLEGE. i’m seriously in denial about the whole thing, and refuse to believe that she’s officially an “adult”. She graduated from the dear ole university of redlands. . a place that’s very near and dear to my heart because i graduated from there just a few years ago (i refuse to believe it was already SEVEN years ago). The whole family braved a very chilly day for redlands in order to see this little kid walk across the stage with her a college degree in business, and i might have cried more than my mom did (pregnancy hormones still?).
i love you lil dis, major major congratulations. . .
