hello erin »

three months. . .

Dear Alexandria:

You’re officially a big three month old!  And you know what that means?  we’re officially past the “fouth trimester” as they say.  And really it couldn’t be more true, as you seem to have done quite a bit of growing and developing the last few weeks.  I’m starting to realize you’re not that sleepy newborn we brought home from the hospital anymore.

Your personality has really started to shine. You love to play piano on your play mat- and were thrilled to discover that you could still kick and play during tummy time! Little baby smiles constantly light up our days as you discover new things. You’ve become quite the explorer recently. You’re starting to reach and grasp toys, and where do they go? Straight to your mouth.  Remember how we were gushing over those first few smiles last month?  Well, they just keep on coming, and we can’t get enough.  Waking you up in the morning and seeing your face light up as you see our faces is hands down the most amazing feeling in the world as a parent.

Your binky these days seems to be a thing of the past unless your really really sleepy. Instead of “sir binks”, the new man in your life is your fist! It’s constantly in your mouth, and we’ve coined the nickname “jimmy the fist” for him.

You also discovered that you can bear weight on those little legs, and crack up when we stand you up on your changing table and dance with the baby in the mirror.

Everyday is full of new discoveries, smiles, and amazement. I can’t wait to see what this next month holds!

love:

mom & dad

Sara - I see so much of her mama in this picture!! And I LOVE that she’s finally old enough to rock the bows and headbands that we love so much. Little Lex, you sure are loved.
