With Lexi’s first birthday party rapidly approaching, i’m getting a jump start on some of decorating projects i’m doing for her party. First up are glitter mason jars. i saw this pin on pinterest and knew it was something i could tackle during a nap (which is how i operate now, during nap-time).
All you need is mod-podge, any type of glitter (i used both fine glitter, and not so-fine glitter), and mason jars or any other glass container.
Pour the mod-podge and glitter into the mason jar-use about half an inch up. The more glitter you use- the more glitter you’ll coat your jar in.
Next mix the glitter and mod-podge together, and roll the jar around until its all coated in glitter-podge. Turn it upside down to get all the excess out, let it sit upside down for an hour.
Then turn right-side up. Let dry 48-72 hours and enjoy! But be sure not to drink out of these bad boys, i’m sure a mouth full of glitter and glue doesnt add anything to any drink. I cant wait to use them to hold utensils, flowers, and other fun goodies at her party.
Anonymous - They really look wonderful…can’t wait to see them used at Lexi’s party…
Carly Sapp - Really fun and cute idea!!!
Sara - Well, hello. Look at you! We are totally stealing this idea and doing it… later on. Next year.
Those look AWESOME!!! Can we please be neighbors?
