the best damn chocolate chip cookies ever.

Its no secret that i love baked goods. i could survive solely on baked goods and be a ridiculously happy camper. i stumbled across this recipe for chocolate chip cookies years ago- and its still my hands-down-go-to-favorite recipe for cookies. I think its the gobs of butter and brown sugar that really take these puppies to a new level. The best part is that they’re easy and i always have all the ingredients on hand. The other best part- it makes so much dough its insanely easy to make enough to freeze for a later occasion. . . or just devour the 2 dozen cookies in one sitting.

Chocolate Chip Cookies:

you’ll need:

  •  2 1/4 cups flour
  •  1 tsb baking soda
  •  1/2 tsp salt
  •  1 cup butter
  •  1 cup brown sugar
  •  1/2 cup sugar
  •  2 eggs
  •  2 tsp vanilla
  •  2 cups chocolate chips (or just throw in the entire package and then some like i do).

now for the directions:

preheat the oven to 350. in a medium bowl mix flour, baking soda & salt with a wire whisk. With a mixer beat butter & both sugars. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Add flour mixture in two additions. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake those puppies for 8-10 minutes and then sit back and enjoy some deliciousness.

    Colleen - I’m so glad you shared these! I’m pinning the recipe so I can try them next time I get the itch to bake something. Ive tried so many chocolate chip cookie recipe, and I never like them. Yours look magazine cover perfect!

    Anonymous - Use half baking soda, half baking powder, then chill the dough for about an hour before you bake. Enjoy 😉
