hello erin »

the big one!

We got to celebrate lex’s first birthday this past saturday with a little shin-dig at the house (more like 50+ people and 15 babes). We had so much fun, and so did the birthday girl. She loved every second of being the guest of honor, and loved her cake even more! here are some of the details of the party.

The day started out with a bright-eyed- and slightly confused birthday girl- she knew something fun was happening that day because she got balloons and silver animals. . .

we wanted a slight circus theme-without going over the top with it. So we used pink flowers, animal crackers, and silver animals throughout the party. And everyone knows ive had a love of burlap for quite a few years now. . .

The birthday girl got her very own special seat to enjoy her cake in.

Speaking of cake. . i LOVED our cake. Cupcakes Couture in Manhattan Beach did a beautiful job with the ombre ruffles. . and it tasted DIVINE. Chocolate with salted carmel  and white cake with strawberry filling definitely hit the spot.

We had Olive Wood Pizza come out with their wood-fired oven and make pizza for all the adults–with 50+ adults and 15 babes we knew cooking was a task we couldnt handle without help!. . but i made sure to have snack cups for all the kids so they could enjoy their puffs, yogurt melts, mum-mums, fruit, and cheese!

We sent everyone home with animal crackers. . .

and here’s a peek at the sippy cups we had for all the kids. I had Too Cute personalize them for all the kids attending the party! She was such a sweetheart and managed to send all 15 cups in just a few short days!

And here’s where we get intense with the cake pictures. . .This kid got excited when we stripped her down (and she spend the rest of the party in just her ruffled butt bloomers).

She definitely hated being the center of attention with all the cameras pointed at her. . .

And here we are with the birthday girl!

Thank you to everyone who came out. . . especially those who flew and drove numerous hours to get here. Lex had the best day ever, and we cant thank everyone enough for being a part of her big big day!
