UP band arm party.

After gaining 50+ pounds while pregnant with lex ( all she wanted me to eat was cupcakes I swear), I needed some motivation help to lose it all– I don’t have a body that just shed those lb’s via nursing, it was quite the opposite I was holding onto all my baby weight, not gaining muscle, and just plain frustrated. Meet my favorite christmas present. The UP band. . It’s a bracelet (that’s not too shabby in the looks department) that tracks your life- ie: movement, sleep, calories burned, and calories consumed.

It’s a handy app all on your phone and tracks your daily progress like this:

Each and every day I try to hit my steps goal & calorie goal. When it’s all in front of you it makes it a lot harder to cheat. I also set it to vibrate when I’ve been inactive for 30 minutes and it gently reminds me to get off my butt and move it.You can have teammates who  cheer you on (or make fun of your meal choices when you eat apple pie for breakfast), and it works as an alarm clock– even awaking you from cat naps at the perfect time in your sleep cycle.  There’s a lot of power packed in this sweet mint wrist-band.

    Julie - Ans it’s super cute! I think I need one to help me loose my last few pounds! But on the other hand, apple pie for breakfast does sound amazing!

    Colleen - That is an awesome gadget. Do they come in manly colors too? I bet my husband would love one. He’s really into healthy living, etc.
