hello erin »

Play-kitchen-play-room.

We immediately knew exactly what lex needed for her first birthday- its a play-room necessity for every little girl. a play kitchen. And so began the hunt for the perfect one. We scoured the internet looking for something durable, adorable, and perfect- and landed on the Simply White Retro Kitchen Collection from Pottery Barn Kids. We couldn’t be more in love with it. It took 3 of us around 4 hours to put together (there are a LOT of little screws involved)- but the outcome, and the look on lex’s face when she plays with it was totally it.

It goes perfectly with the play-table that mike hand-crafted for lex (play chairs are also from PBK). She can cook and serve for all her friends.

She’s not very good at keeping a clean kitchen. . .

but her cooking is delicious (as far as wooden food goes).

Here’s a peak at the rest of the playroom (aka- where i spend hours every day).

Lex’s teepee is where we sit and read, and read, and read (we’re definitely in a book phase). Those “if i were a. . . ” books get a LOT of page turns.

One of our all-time favorite birthday gifts is the B woofer guitar. It howls and barks, and keeps ALL of us entertained!
