this 4th of july we managed to fit a little bit of everything in. from a festival with the babe, to drinking on the water, to fireworks & a family BBQ. It was probably one of the best 4th of july’s we’ve had!
It started off with a festival close to our house with a bike parade, live band, pie eating contest, and lots of family fun and games (and outfit #1 of like FOUR for the day).
(this sums up lex perfectly. Eating, waving & smiling. her three fav things).
My parents came over to babysit while we hit Huntington Beach with a few friends and a little something called the “relaxation station“. We hit the harbor with our relaxation stations tied together & anchored them in the harbor so we could just relax in the sunshine with beers (so american), music, and vodka gummy bears (my new fav treat!).
After we were fully relaxed (and maybe a little sunburned) we headed home, packed up lex & my family and hit the in-laws for a BBQ and fireworks show (they happen to have the best view. . . and we could see 8 fireworks shows up & down the coast- with an amazing view of a fireworks show a sweet 92 yr old woman puts on for her birthday every year from a barge in the ocean). Lex got to play with her big cousin katerine AND a puppy (lucy. who was a hit of the party. even if lex wouldnt stop chasing her around the yard).
