hello erin »

fancy little lady necklaces.

While running around Joanne’s the other day looking for someone to open the spray paint cabinet for us (sometimes i want to stand in the middle of the store screaming “ALL I WANT IS GOLD SPRAY PAINT!!!” until someone comes running) lex and i found something truly amazing. Silkies stretch magic cords– i swear lex spotted them first and was reaching for them- as soon as she got her little hands on them she spent the rest of the time at the store trying to put them on (nothing comes in between that girl and her necklaces). She is such a necklace lover i knew it would be the perfect craft for us to do one lazy afternoon.

i was totally right.

we just used sparkley pony beads and the silkies.

Lex helped pick out the beads and string them.

When we were “all done” i tied knots in the cord so the beads wouldnt fly off when we took the necklace on & off.

Lex LOVES her new necklace. And we have many, many more to make in her near future (and once we’re done with necklaces, i think bracelets are up!).

Colleen - So much fun! What a good girl she is sitting there being so patient! I think Owen would have thrown those pretty beads all over the floor — that right there is the difference between boys and girls! She must just looooooove her necklace. I bet she feels so proud!
