I’m linking up with some adorable bloggers to bring you five on friday this week. Just five random things from this week. Ready-Set-Friday!
grocery store leggings. oh yes, you read that right, i scored an adorable and comfy pair of leggings at the grocery store. . . and i love em. Gray & dots? you’d better believe i snagged these up quick. Maybe one day i’ll gather the courage to wear them out of the house. . . for now they’re my loungin’ leggin’s.
a fresh manicure. I tried a new nail place and it was divine. Hands down the best manicure i’ve had in a long, long time. I seriously couldn’t have picked a better pink, and the teeny tiny bit of flash & sparkle makes me feel fancy. The place was quiet, relaxing, and i got a good hour and a half of quiet reading in. Best. Thursday. Ever.
Scuba-divers. Tuesday lex threw me for a loop and decided to take her mega nap in the MORNING. Which meant we missed our regularly scheduled activities-which meant i needed to find something for us to do for the whole afternoon. Enter the aquarium. It was packed with kids camps and school-aged kids (can they go back to school yet?!), but we still had a blast. The highlight of the trip was definitely when one of the scuba divers cleaning the tanks singled lex out- they waved, blew kisses, and high-fived. Pretty sure lex thought he was either a mermaid or a fish- and she LOVED it. She also scored a new penguin she’s affectionately named “boo” (apparently “penguin” is above her vocab skills). . . who she tries to bathe on a nightly basis (one night she actually succeeded).
My quest for the perfect tote has officially come to and end. I’m out of a diaper bag-but still need to carry around a sippy cup and snacks. Which leads me to tote-bag hunt 2013. I was seriously goldilocks about it- and wanted something not to big- not to small-but juuuuuuust right. I finally found it this past weekend, and now i’m a REALLY happy camper.
teenage trilogy books. Hi, my names erin and i’m a sucker for teenage trilogy books. Currently reading- the host by stephanie meyer (why, yes she IS the same stephanie meyer who brought us twilight). I seriously cant read it fast enough. . . and the other two books aren’t even OUT YET- cue major sadness when i finish and realize I’ll have to wait forever to find out what happens. . . i’ll probably drown my sorrows by watching the movie and eating some sea salt caramel talenti.
