hello erin »

on wednesdays we wear pink & a circus.

Today i’m SO excited to be guest posting about being a girl mom on Strawberry Swing and Other Things. Head on over to read all about some of the fun lex and i have been having tea partying lately– and why she wont stop begging to have outdoor tea parties.

now. about that circus.

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that my love of reality tv (dance moms, gypsies, housewives, and wicked moms) has trumped books. But I’ve recently logged quite a bit of pool time- and two requirements of pool time are 1. My kindle and 2. A cocktail. Which brings me to the best book I’ve read in quite some-time (maybe since I re-read hunger games for like the 5th time) The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

I can’t even fully begin to explain the awesomeness of this gem of a book. It’s about a circus that’s only open at night- but behind all of that is a fierce competition,a love story, and each and every character is intertwined. Oh, and there’s also illusion & magic. The imagery is rich, and it’s so well written that I couldn’t put it down- I was dying to find out the ending. And it truly didn’t disappoint. I was so invested in each and every character that I wanted to read forever! If your looking for a new book to read this one MUST go on your list!
