whew. another week come and gone, i swear this year is flying by. Pretty soon we’ll be trick or treating, wearing boots, and consuming way too much halloween candy. Time for another five on friday post! Here’s what we’ve been loving this week.
BOOKS. Ive been reading up a storm lately (as you can tell by my dingy disgusting kindle cover). In the past few weeks i’ve flown through the delirium trilogy by lauren oliver (oh how i love my teenage trilogies. sigh) and have made my way to the sea breeze series by abbi glines (i also happen to love corny romance novels- thanks to a fellow adorable blogger for posting about them! i’m in love!).
IOS7. Thank you apple for FINALLY releasing IOS7 to the masses. Ive been uber jealous of anyone who got to beta test the new system, and cant wait until next wednesday when i can get my hands on it! It’ll be like a whole new iphone- but sleeker, sexier, and just awesomener. Another awesome apple tid-bit. My husband is FINALLY jumping on the iphone bandwagon- which totally means facetiming while he’s at work. Lex’s mind will be BLOWN. The only sad part is that i’m not due for an upgrade and therefore have to wait to get a GOLD IPHONE. seriously, GOLD. I swear apple can read my mind.
TRAVELING PLAY PAD. This week i caught a certain someone trying to climb their way out of their crib. Which i’m totally and completely not ready for. But it has me looking at bedding for her “big girl bed” in preparation. I stumbled across this traveling play pad and think it’s the perfect travel accessory for when lex is out of her travel crib and thrust onto the floor when we travel (because no way will sqirmers be allowed in our bed. Shes a beast). But fingers crossed we have another year for the wild ride that is “transition to toddler bed”. . .
THE PLAYROOM. there’s a brief moment during the day that the playroom is pristine and all the toys are put away (this “brief moment” = nighttime). I LOVE the playroom in all its clean glory. But then lex wakes up and it explodes toys and books. I guess i should be thankful we have the mess fairly contained to one room- otherwise i would probably go cray-cray.
DANCE CLASS. Well we finally started dance class! It was seriously so adorable, and a total blast. Its just a mommy & me dance class- but it’s bound to teach all these girls how to wait their turns and fun things like tap dancing, a few ballet moves, and how to jump over stuffed elephants. I think lex is the youngest in the class- but that didn’t stop her from following the teacher and other kiddos! I was so excited lex seemed to love it! I think we’ll count down to Thursdays from now on!
