five on F R I D A Y

it’s Friday. Friday. Friday. Gotta get down on friday. . . . everyones looking forward to the weekend. weekend. Oh yes, i just quoted rebecca black- but it feels totally appropriate.

Brought to you by the lovely ladies behind: The Good Life. A. Liz Adventures. Carolina Charm. & Hello! Happiness.

The Mindy Project & The New Girl.  I feel like tuesday just might be my new favorite night ever- and i have the friendly people at FOX to thank.  I’m so grateful that Fall TV shows are starting back up that our DVR is officially at 0% in sheer anticipation.

SOL BLISS PUREES. These things have really taken our smoothies to the next level. While wandering whole foods i spotted these and was immediately intrigued- now weeks later i cant imagine my life without these puppies. Its just a sheet of frozen fruit puree- nothing else. But its seriously genius for smoothies- it blends so so much better than normal frozen fruit (especially since we have awful luck with blenders), and creates a sweet simple smoothie when tossed in with some fresh fruit. I think i might go back to lex’s frozen ice tray puree days just for smoothies. . . maybe not so much the sweet potatoes and peas- but we’ll stick to the peaches, strawberries, and mangos.

Is anyone else as excited as i am that websites are starting to release their holiday cards? I’m already swooning over all the choices- and considering we’re taking our christmas card pictures next weekend (with the oh, so amazingly talented ala who i may have stalked a few years back, convinced her to go to lunch with me where we bonded over bieber, pilates, and her adorable-ness) i think i’m going to be way ahead of the game this year. We’re hosting Christmas Eve and i’m 99.9% sure these invitations will be going out. . .

We’ve had a rough few days (whoever said canines were the worst wasn’t lying). By rough i mean ive had a super grumpy girl on my hands who’s only happy if shes a. reading in her teepee with all the lights off except twinkle lights b. making cupcakes c. wearing rainboots and d. in dance class. Dance class was pretty adorable, and lex couldnt stop kissing herself in the mirror. Next time she’s supergrump i’m just putting her tutu on and putting her in front of the mirror. Just look at the bounce in her step in excitement to get to class.

Anniversaries. We celebrated our THREE year anniversary this week with a gorgeous flower delivery, a dinner out (in which lex consumed not one but TWO kids pasta meals), and most importantly cupcakes. I’m voting we celebrate anniversaries weekly (especially if they involve baked goods).

Jenny Collier - LOVE the idea of sending invites for holiday events. I never think to do that because it’s just family. 🙂

I think it’s time for that to change.
