five on F R I D A Y.

Hello friday. Ive been waiting a long, long time for you. We have an amazing weekend planned complete with relaxing, visiting good friends, perhaps a boat ride, and plenty of wine.

Brought to you by the lovely ladies behind: The Good Life. A. Liz Adventures. Carolina Charm. & Hello! Happiness.

Talenti gelato pops. Holy cow these things are possibly the best thing ever invented. I kid you not we devour these things like crazy around here. Especially when a certain toddler straight up REFUSES to share hers. I kid you not it’s virtually impossible to rip the stick out of her little hand. It results in chocolate and sea salt Carmel gelato everywhere… It’s a good things she’s cute.

Kai body lotion– a few months ago I took some updated family pictures for good friends. As a thank you the sweet mom got me this lotion. Obsessed doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about this stuff. It’s amazing lotion blah blah blah- But the smell- oh the smell. I want to smother myself in this stuff hourly.

Good friends and lululemon. We had a few rough days this week. And the worst night we’ve ever experienced with lex. Rolling on just a few hours sleep (thanks to teeth? Sickness? An attempt to drive the whole family nuts?) we arrived at myGym to find a sweet mom friend had brought my fav Starbucks drink (knowing my Starbucks drink proves true friendship). It was the best and most thoughtful surprise ever. After a barely there nap- I decided this mom needed some good-mood boost. And off to lulu we went. At least lex carried my bags to the car?

Poo poo patrol. Lex is affectionately known as the “poo poo patrol” around here. If she sees ANY poop in the yard (thank you tucker!) she stands there pointing and yelling “poo poo!” Until it gets cleaned up. The icing on the cake? We get stomping and yelling every time she goes “POO POO!” In her diaper.

Along with a rough week we’ve had a mega-mom-attachment week. I’m talking screaming bloody murder if anyone else even tries to play with her. Needless to say its exhausting for everyone. Mike feels bad that he cant help, i feel bad that lex is snubbing him. Its a circle of feeling badness. One night when mike got home lex was ALLLLL about dad (like she USUALLY is), i got a much needed reprieve and mike got to play with lex- who was naked for no reason other than dad was home and weird things happen with her wardrobe when mikes in charge. These two are so cute together. . .

    Whitney - 5 things….

I so want to try this gelato!
The lotion is now in my Amazon cart!
Starbucks & shopping can fix anything
So exciting to be potty training and I love the “poo poo patrol”
Weird things happen over here too when daddy keeps Berk!

julie - I don’t even know where to begin! Okay, 1. Talenti gelato pops??? WHERE HAVE I BEEN???? Oh my word, yes please. 2. Need that lotion. 3. Boo to a rough week…we’ve had a rough one too. Turns out adjusting to a 3 hour time change (twice) means zero sleep for everyone. 4. I’m SO sad I missed Lex yelling poo poo!!! Tell her she can come to our house and point out the poop in the yard for Jon to clean up at any time. 5. Weird things happen to Lex’s wardrobe when Mike’s in charge??? Sounds like our husbands are two peas in a pod.

Courtney B - Those gelato pops would be DANGEROUS in our home considering a tub of talenti doesn’t even last 2 days here, YIKES!
Lex is so precious but I’m sorrrrrrry it’s been a hard week! Being a mom is the best, but it is D I F F I C U L T at times, to say the least. But you’re doing an amazing job!

Courtney - That last picture is so sweet! Daddies and their girlies are so precious.

So, I have to ask, what is your Starbuck’s drink order? Mine is embarrassingly complicated so…no shame.

Sara - OMG. Those gelato pops look AMAZING! I totally wouldn’t share either (sorry, mama)!! I think my hotel in Boston had Kai products and you are right – they were DIVINE!!! The picture of Lex with a stick CRACKED ME UP. Poo-poo patrol! Andddd… how sweet is that pic of Lex and Sir… at least she’s still sporting the bow! 😉

Jenny - I”m really not sure which is cuter the ice cream face, the sitting on the potty singing into a play fork or the naked playing with daddy?! Can’t say I blame her for not sharing the gelato though — looks amazing!

Colleen Sullivan - I’ve got to get my hands on some of those Talenti gelato pops!

I’m so sorry there have been some rough days this week, we’ve been there recently too 🙁 Luckily Owen decided last week that he was his daddy’s boy again, so I’ve gotten some time without a toddler on my hip too.

    Have a great weekend!!

Stacie - Well, I was planning on feeding my Talenti addiction tomorrow with a pint, but now I’m going to look for the pops! Not for me, for the baby, you know. And gotta love surprise Starbucks…it strangely cures my mama blues when we have had a rough time. Toddlerhood can be hard…it is so unpredictable. Little breaks here and there usually help us, but if you are battling attachment, that might be more trouble than it’s worth! It might just be a developmental growth spurt and she can’t express all the feelings and excitement she is experiencing? Hope it turns around soon:)

Courtney - I never know what to expect when I ask my husband to dress Aria. I’m pretty sure he tries to be weird with his top and bottom matches.
Sucks about your rough days and terrible night. Fingers crossed it was a one and only.

EHayes - We are going through #5 here too 🙁
