hello erin »

sparkle pumpkin.

Now that’s its officially fall/october is pumpkin season. . . and time to start stepping up my decorating game. I enlisted lex’s help for this little project- it involves a few of her fav things 1. pumpkins and 2. sparkles. Last year lex finger painted her pumpkin– which resulted in tears (and an adorable pumpkin). This time around zero tears were involved! Score one for sparkles!!

All you need is a craft pumpkin (we got ours at target) and some jewels. We decided to use sticker jewels because lex & glue seemed like a bad idea (with my luck she’d get it in her luscious locks and she’d be getting a haircut sooner than anticipated).

I think you all see where this is going. . . stickers- pumpkin. annnnnd done. If your not 18 months old you could probably do some cute design. But alas, lex just sticks things anywhere and everywhere (and we praise her and tell her it looks fabulous. she’s SO artistic).

Her’s lex with her finished product. In her pumpkin jammies. Looking like a hot mess. But she LOVES it. And loves showing anyone and everyone who comes to the door where her pumpkin is! Lets hope shes as excited when we CARVE pumpkins!

Colleen Sullivan - I love this idea! I think Owen and I will be doing some pumpkin decorating this afternoon! I can’t wait to see their reactions to pumpkin carving and the gooey mess of pumpkin guts.

Courtney - What an awesome idea!

Abigail has been walking around the house saying, “Just a dot! Not a lot!” I guess they taught her that at church or maybe MOPS? Lol. Put that one in your back pocket for whenever you decide to bust out the elmer’s.

Mayumi Shimose Poe - Wonderful placement of those “diamonds,” Lex. I know each one was deliberate. I can really see what you were trying to evoke there …

ERIN. It just must be said. You are the most wonderful mommy ever. I love dipping into your life via this blog and seeing the world you are creating for lucky lil Lex. Rock on with yourself.
