We had such an awesome weekend. One of our best weekends in a long, long time. It was the perfect blend of relaxing and boating (why doesnt every weekend involve boating?).
It all started off saturday- we relaxed, ran some errands- and while running errands couldn’t keep lex out of the Trader Joes pumpkin display and ended up coming home with a pretty green pumpkin (see that squat? girlfriend was determined to pick that puppy up).
Sunday we got to hang out with some of my favorite people. Stephanie is one of the most important people in our lives. She was the matchmaker behind mike & i. And without her mad skillz i would probably be a spinster forever with 100 cats. They not-so-recently moved into a new house AND got a boat, and we just finally invited ourselves out to catch up, hang out, and take a ride. Stephanie managed to score us some majorly delicious apple pie. . . and i’m not sure who was more excited for it to come out of the oven. Her or lex.
Clearly lex was more than excited to eat it- a la mode.
One of my besties/old post-college roommates/light of my life has a sweet daughter a year younger than lex. And im shamed to say ive only met her three times (they only live an hour away in newport. Shame on us). Pretty soon stephanie’s arms wont be empty. . . she’ll be holding the cutest black lab puppy in the entire world (we cant wait to meet briggs).
And judging from the picture above. i’ll keep these pictures of lex and tristin to prove that lex was one taller than tristin.
Ready for an abundance of boat pictures?
Mike was super lame and forgot his jean jacket. . .
We now have an even bigger obsession with boats on our hands. She wouldn’t stop staring through the fence, pointing, and saying “boooooat”.
We took a little tumble in the parking lot. Annnnd took that as a sign to get our hot mess of a child home and into the bath tub.
