hello erin »

weekends are for pj’s, trees, and santa.

We had such a whirlwind of a weekend! i swear it doesn’t feel like monday- i definitely needs another day before we start the week! Saturday we went to a pancakes & pj’s holiday party. Anyone with kids needs to have one of these babies- the theme is super cute- and its the perfect time for them to party while the grown-ups party with bloody mary’s. Pancakes are always a win too (especially mickey mouse shaped ones). This party was awesome- crafts, cookie decorating, and Santa even showed up!

Any party that involves me wearing my PJ’s is a total win in my book.

At first lex was intrigued by santa. . . and then the waterworks started. It was totally hilarious. i LOVE crying santa pictures!2013-12-08_0002

This little boy is seriously lex’s beau. All the kids played SO WELL together. But this little guy? He’s a rockstar with all the little babes. He has a straight up crush on lex and loves to tickle her, shared his bears with her, and read her stories!! It was pure sweetness.2013-12-08_0003

After the PJ party we went to pick out our christmas tree!! It was freezingย  outside, so i got pretty much zero pictures. But trust me when i tell you we picked a real winner. i dont think we realized just how big the tree was until we got it home and into our living room! But we’re hosting chrismtas even this year– so a giant tree is a complete necessity.

Sunday we went to visit Santa again! We should get the digital negative sometime in the next few weeks- but this time there were no tears- just a face of terror. I seriously cant wait to see lex’s santa picture! We then had a sunday-funday filled with football, dark & stormies, and delicious burgers. We rounded it out with a boat-parade around sunset harbor- and it was the perfect little sunday (again i failed and took zero pictures!).

And the playroom is FINALLY finished! It was the last room in the house without hard-wood so we bit the bullet and got-er-done. And we couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. The room always had a slight level change- but the previous owners just threw carpet over the whole thing. Now there’s an actual step in the room- which serves as the perfect divider. One side is my desk, and the other is lex’s play-kitchen, toys, and crafts. It still needs a little tweaking- some new lamps- more pictures, but the room looks massive now- i cant wait for christmas when we get to round out the room with an easel and dress up tower!!
