hello erin »

book report. my mini & me.

we love books. lex loves books. i love books. and we’ve both be logging more than our fair share of book-time these days. So here’s a list of her favs & mine.

for my mini

poke A dot. this book has dots that you can “poke” and count. its awesome and keeps little hands entertained!

BOO ABC’s. anything boo is a big win in our house. making this ABC book a real winner!

walter the farting dog. the title alone makes you want to giggle. never mind the rest of this sweet book about a farting dog!

goodnight I love you. i have no clue why- but this is lex’s fav bedtime book! it’s nothing super fancy- but is a major fav.

Olivia Takes Ballet. we love ballet. we also love reading books about ballet!

three little mermaids. mermaids having a tea party? bring it on.

brontorina. a dinosaur who takes ballet lessons. SO cute and fun!

you are my cupcake. this one leaves lex asking for pie and cupcakes. no joke.

that’s not my mermaid. our newest mermaid book is seriously so sweet and cute. and never put down!

for me

eleanor & park. i loved this sweet romance between two teenaged.

the book thief. a must- read before the movie hits. its SO good its on my list for a re-read.

the husbands secret. stick with this one! from the perspective of three women who’s lives are woven together because of a few secrets.

before i fall. a girl re-lives the last day of her life over and over until its perfect. its SO good.

the glass castle. a memoir i barely believed was a memoir!

is everyone hanging out without me. I’ve got a girl crush on mindy. she just makes me laugh!

the night circus. this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. its about magic, a circus, and a love story.

same kind of different as me. the lives of an art dealer and a homeless man. trust me on this one!

where’d you go bernadette. another amazing, random, and perfect book. a definite must read.

sookie stack house. by charlene harris. looking for a series of about 14 books? this is your series. its so good, easy to read, and impossible to put down! i just finished re-reading the entire series!

Jenny - I’ve read the Glass Castle and it’s a wonderful book! I might have to go dig it out and re-read it! The dancing dinosaure looks super cute…. I’ve been thinking of getting Callie a few new books now I’ve got some to check out! Thanks for sharing!

Jess - Thank you for the recommendations for both me and Cam!!! Cameron has 29384340 books, but I feel like we’ve read them ALL a million times, so we are constantly going to the library to freshen up our stack a bit. 🙂

When do YOU find time to read? I have totally slacked in the last few years because I never have time. (Or when I do, I choose to watch HGTV.) Haha!

Colleen - Ooo I looooved this! Lex has great taste in books! I think next to clothes, buying books for Owen is my favorite purchase. I always include a book when we give a birthday gift to any of our little friends.

And I am so thankful for your list of books! I’ve been searching for some GOOD rec’s and you’ve got ’em! I’m reading the husband’s secret right now and just got to the point where she opens the letter! I’ve been waiting for it to get to that since chapter one!
