hello erin »

FIVE on friday.

Its my first FIVE post of the new year. It’s been our first week back after our little holiday vacation- and man it feels good to be home and back into our routine. We’ve all been in exceptionally good moods this week. So far 2014 totally rocks my socks.

Brought to you by the lovely ladies behind: The Good Life. A. Liz Adventures. Carolina Charm. & Hello! Happiness.

Second birthday party prep is underway over here. And we’re SO excited for birthday party numero dos for the little babe. We’re taking a page from jenny and throwing a rockin’ favorite things party. I hope lex’s is half as cute as Ella’s was! First up was crayon making- because this sweet babe LOVES her crafts. We have lots more fun fav’s in store- but this handy craft was super fun for both of us to do- and will be a super fun favor!

Well ladies and gents its officially juan-uary. I’m so stoked for the return of the bachelor (HELLO juan pablo). I have a feeling this season is going to be epic. . . and enough tears will be shed to fill all the great lakes. Between the return of the bachelor AND the return of downton abby Ive been one excited little DVR monster.

This year I made the switch from my erin condren planner to the day designer by whitney english. It was a hard switch- but the draw of the gold combined with each day being broken into actual time slots, AND an area for a daily checklist was too much. After just a week of using it IM IN LOVE.

My mom came over for her weekly lex hangout/babysit all day so i can do fabulous things like work out and get my hair done- and she brought all of lex’s christmas toys from their house that we couldnt fit in our car. It was like christmas part 2. and it was fabulous. Lex’s easel is finally in the play-room- and she was super stoked  to color, paint, and chalk in her leotard. I’m crazily obsessed with this picture. . . jazzercise painting anyone?

This weekend we’re transitioning lex to her big girl bed. It’s either going to go really well. . or really badly. My guess is that she’ll end up sleeping in her tee-pee. Things are going to get interesting around here!

Laura - I love how Lex is always sporting her boots! And please show us what you do with the tape on your planner! If I had any creativity, it would be zapped by the time I got home from work, so I have to live vicariously through people with an abundance of it!

Stacie - Excited to check out that planner! And now I can see that the big girl bed is her crib with the rail removed. It is so pretty! On your IG picture, I thought it was some crazy amazing toddler bed. I can’t wait for details on the bday party. I had so much fun with our 2nd bday last year that I’ve already started on our Minnie’s ice cream shoppe party for #3!

Courtney - Those crayons are such a fun craft/favour! Love it!
Amen to Downton – although I haven’t watched any yet, because waiting each week drives me nuts.
Pretty planner! I think the time slots would actually bug me, but I looove the to do list section – money!
Your pics are always amazing, all the time!
Good luck with the big girl bed, I was just mentioning to Chris that Aria is just gonna fall right out of hers when it comes time because that is all she does all night long – roll around and flop flip.

Vanessa - Sounds like our Sunday and Monday nights are pretty similar…#dvrmonsters. I can’t wait to hear how the transition goes this weekend…I know she’s going to rock it in true Lex fashion 😉

Courtney B - Lex turns twoooooooo! I can’t believe we are coming up on that time! It all goes TOO fast! I have no doubt that her party will be PERFECTION! You’re the best momma!
I admit that I decided I was going to skip watching the Bachelor this season, but you’ve convinced me that I need to have a date with Hulu today and watch it!
Ugh. I need a planner in a bad way but I’m scared of committing. I hate seeing a to do list and I hate crossing things off the list even more. I know, I’m WEIRD!
