hello erin »

FIVE on friday.

well hello BIRTHDAY. that’s right, its my official birthday today. although i feel insanely loved and am going to be celebrating forever. bring on the cake!

Brought to you by the lovely ladies behind: The Good Life. A. Liz Adventures. Carolina Charm. & Hello! Happiness.

first hair cuts. mike and i both kept putting off lex getting her hair cut. I’m not sure if it was my fear of little girl bangs or what- but it wasn’t really on my radar. Well it was on lex’s radar! for the past month she’s been begging to get her hair cut like rapunzel and ariel “hair-cut rapunzel? hair cut ariel?”. SO i took her to the mall to get her luscious locks cut like her fav princesses. She was uber serious the whole time- it was adorable!

all red jellybeans. this is my favorite time of year- hands down. why? the starburst all-red jellybeans are out in full force. and ive already managed to consume a few bags. . by myself. . . this week. i seriously have zero self control when it comes to these beans!

massages! my friends were horrified when they learned i had never had a massage before. so for my birthday they booked us into a spa for a little relaxation and a massage. and it was glorious. I seriously have the best friends EVER! see that big pregnant belly- we’re patiently waiting for andrew’s arrival- which should be sometime in the next month!! and steph’s super sweet baby boy hendrix arrived in november! These girl moms turned boy moms are my absolute favs.

awesome friends & fam. my friends and family seriously know the way to my heart. baked goods. And this week has been full of them. I’m a happy girl (even if i can feel my waistline growing!). i’m definitely going to earn a place in  baked-good-over-eaters-anonomous.

little things. i was excited like woah when i was asked to join in this weekly link-up hosted by the amazingly adorbs jess and ashley. i’m excited to join them (and you should join in too!) every wednesday to celebrate and appreciate the sweet little things in life. Learn more about their sweet link up here.

Jess - Happy Birthday!!!! Hope you have a great weekend (full of red jelly beans and plenty of baked goods)! Can we just take a sec to talk about how cute Lex is getting her hair cut?! I’m pretty sure Sadie will be 5 before she’ll need a trim. A friend of ours calls her hair “fairy floss.” Bahaha! Thanks so much for supporting & sharing our linkup…it means so much!

Ehayes - I wish we knew each in real life, we’d be total fatties over our shared baked good addiction. Are you addicted to Oreos too?? Because I eat ungodly amounts everyday.

I’ve been thinking about A first cut lately too, and asked when some of my real life girl mom friends took theirs, seems like we are late which makes me feel good we didn’t rush it. Maybe next month or I’ll wait until closer to her birthday

PS Lex is super duper cute…Cam just screams and wiggles the entire time he gets his hair cut!

Melissa Spence - Happy Happy Birthday, Erin! You’re doing better than me…I’m 32 and never had a massage either. I’m always afraid I won’t know what do to 🙂 Oh and is that a lemon iced cupcake? I love baked goods too, but if it is lemon flavored, then I’m in HEAVEN. Happy birthday!

Kristin - Lex’s sweet face during her haircut! Adorable! My step-mom just asked me this week if I will let Kenley get bangs and I said “absolutely not”. So I LOL’d when you said “fear of little girl bangs.” HA!

Courtney B - First massage ever?! HEAVEN!! I’m so glad you indulged for your birthday! Have you had a facial? You must try that next!
Lex’s first ever?! She never had her hair cut when she was a baby? Mia totally has a mullet and I’m so tempted to cut it off! Wish I could’ve given Lex her first haircut 😉
