hello erin »

snow days.

Every year the week after Christmas we hit the road for 6 hours and visit the snowy mountain town of Mammoth Lakes. It’s quite possibly my favorite winter tradition, and i think it’ll quickly become lex’s too (except maybe the long drive. that part isn’t anyones fav). I don’t think i put on “real clothes” the entire trip, mike and i killed everyone at cranium, and we spendt way too much time in the jacuzzi. It’s always awesome that my whole family makes the trek- mike and i can hit the slopes while lex spends quality time with the rest of the family. The snow this early in the season leaves a lot to be desired for skiing BUT it’s been perfect for sledding and snowman making!

i love lex’s snowsuit. Complete with rain boots. I swear rain boots are perfect for any weather! Her snowsuit is AWESOME, it has lots of fun little features that will grow right along with her. IMG_0327_2

all smiles.

Look at our sad attempt at a snowman. . . IMG_0331_2IMG_0333_2

We took lex up to the ski hill for her first peek at what she’ll be up to (hopefully) next season. We’re lucky that my parents house is uber close to a shuttle stop.

This year they had an adorable igloo at the hill to romp around in.

Lex is obsessed with my her uncle. He’s totally fun and plays monsters with her. He’s also taught her awesome things like running around balking like a chicken.

Lex and Grandpa.

We had such a fun trip! I can’t wait for a few more weekend trips this season. . . and really really looking forward to getting lex on the slopes sometime in the next few years. Its pretty much a family requirement to love skiing and boarding.
