I’ve made these delicious french toast cups numerous times in the past few weeks. They’ve quickly become a favorite breakfast for the breakfast lovers over here. And they’re PERFECT for holidays (like valentines day!) because you make them the night before and just make em in the morning. Easy peasy.
Here’s what you’ll need:
– 1 muffin tin- the kind with only 6 compartments (bonus if you can only find a heart one like i could!)
– 1 loaf of day old french bread cut into chunks
– 4 eggs
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1 1/2 cups half & half
– chocolate chips (the more the better)
– chocolate syrup
Spray the muffin tin with cooking spray. Throw the chunks of bread into the muffin tins. don’t be afraid to overfill them a bit. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the bread- don’t be skimpy. in a separate bow mix the eggs, sugar & half and half. Pour the mixture evenly into each cup. Cover and throw into the fridge to marinate overnight.
In the morning- bake these puppies at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Pop em out of the tin, drizzle them with chocolate syrup and enjoy!
